OK I know what Van Buren's Sounds look like but I haven't a clue about Walther's Sounds...
If you have a link to a pic of a Walther's I'd appreciate it... and be forever in your debt (and more than happy to give and give and give in return)...
THANKS!!!

Walther & Van Buren Sounds
And being the giving guy I am, I've posted a photo on my profile of me wearing a T-shirt with lots of sounds in profile. They are, from L-R, Hank, Pratt, Hegar, Van Buren, Dittle, Simpson, Walther, and the real fun one. I'll leave that photo up for a few days, I guess.
Basically, Van Burens and Walthers are the same, but the diameter of the shaft on a Van Buren stays constant once it reaches its widest part (the straight part of the shaft). A Walther's diameter narrows again as it approaches the handle. It's a subtle difference that makes no difference during play. Buy either one; it's the business end that we're interested in. The curved part of both of them will slide right through your prostate and knock on your bladder's door.

Sounds are sounds, nothing more

Wellll...I think that just confuses the issue. They are nothing like tuning forks any more than a tin can or a floor lamp, which are also metal and can vibrate. Audible sound has nothing to do with anything here, and I don't know why it keeps coming up.

Origin of the term "sounds"

Some benevolent medicos (Drs. VanBuren and Dittel, to name two), seeking methods to relieve this problem, designed instruments to be inserted into the urethra to locate the stricture and literally stretch it open to allow the passage of urine. Thus was born the urethral "sound" which takes it name from the Latin subordinate, to submerge to measure the depth of. This is the same "sound" as used in the term "sound the depths," where the depth of a body of water is measured with a weighted line.

OK -- rather than trusting my memory on where the name "sounds" comes from... I did a web search and got the above (which is consistent with what I've read and remembered).

I have some of the SquarePegToys silicone sounds... they are GREAT. So flexible and easy to use. I sometimes leave one in at night and pull it out as I'm trying to piss the next morning, WOW, what a great feeling.

A lot of "sound" advice here.
I wouldn't have thought of the worms. Have to give it a try.
Isn't it fun to find prevertables?
